The few scuffs, dings, scrapes, and wear are due to being scratched against the bike rack, chafing with bike cables, U-lock, friction with natural elements, loose rocks, by the rider himself (not deliberately, of course) and, quite possibly, by poor hornets/fireflies/little floating aliens with exoskeleton colliding at high speed onto the speeding bike-could have been any of those things, but absolutely not from crashes or lack of care.Ĭomplementing the bike’s top-of-the-line frame material is an equally respectable set of mechanical components. This one right here is in impressive working condition save for some cosmetic imperfection (see photos).

Trek 5000 must be one of the best used full carbon race bikes you can buy out there for less than $1,000. And since I don’t see myself back on the drops any time in the near future, the bike is better off sold on the marketplace for another cyclist to snag and make great use of himself or herself. I'm selling this bike because, over the past few weeks, it has been left merely to gather dust and, perhaps with further neglect, rust while being u-locked for days on end without seeing much action. Those scuffs, scratches, and tears on the frame are from being scratched in the garage or by the rider, but absolutely not from crashes. The one for sale here is in impressive working condition save for a few cosmetic wear and tear (see photos). This must be one of the best full carbon race bikes out there that you can buy used for less than a grand.
